This is actually an inside joke with my sister A. from a long ago road trip to Oklahoma (you see A LOT of cows driving through the flatlands of Texas and Oklahoma).
So this is my existential question for week: What do cows think about?

My guess is they don't - they have the nonstress, meditative awareness most of us strive for and fail.
Grass.
This reminds me of my favorite Far Side cartoon. A pasture of cows are all standing on two legs as one of them yells, "Car!" In the next frame, they are all on four legs as the car drives by.
"I could use a glass of milk right about now."
